Sexy Chords are a brilliant band who supported The Offenders at their first Carling Academy date. About 15 minutes before going on stage, the band asked Mel to do their photography. With only time to quickly down a pint and get out there, off she went!
There was no photography barrier space (there never is in this venue- Academy 2), a guitarist with his back to the audience and a bloody can of Carling right in the way, but she managed these amazing shots.
“Maybe you guys wanna ask me a little more than 15 mins beforehand next time?” – Mel.

If you think that’s bad- I didn’t know I was doing photography either, until about 5 minutes before you guys went on stage!
I’m glad you like the pictures. There’s more, about 30 in total I think, which I’m passing on to John with all the stuff to go with them, John will have those on Wednesday, I think, so whenever you see him after then, he might have them (bear in mind, this is the kid who was making up a set list 5 minutes before doors opened, not very organised =P)
